IQ news

NEWS BITES
Geez pal, you really oughta have that looked at.

• Pinnacle has purchased Donruss'
sports card lines. Neither Pinnacle, Donruss
nor NXT Games would comment on if or
how the sale would affect scheduled Don-
russ/NXT Games CCGs like Red Zone, Top
of the Order, The X-Files or a planned
hockey deck. For a preview of The X-Files
CCG, see page 36.

• The newest effort from "X-Files" pro-
ducer Chris Carter under his five-year exclu-
sive development deal with 20th Century
Fox Television is "Millennium" starring
Lance Henriksen. It'll debut on Fox this fall.

cards will be randomly inserted from a run

By special exemption of WotC's
Duelists' Convocation, Alliances cards will
be permitted in Type II tourney decks at
the U.S. National Magic Championship
at Origins.

This July Magic Quick Start sets
will be available to introduce players to the
hit WotC CCG. Rivals, the first Quick Start set,

Calif., were able to meet Wal-

Wolf with a no-holds-barred introduction
by the author.
