• Expect the 1997-98 season of
"The X-Files" to end in a cliffhanger
that will be resolved in a movie written
by series creator Chris Carter, The New
York Times reports. Stars David Duchovny
and Gillian Anderson are committed to
the film and a sixth season, although
Carter wants to devote more time to his
other show, "Millennium."

At January's 54th annual Golden
Globe Awards, "The X-Files" was named
best drama series. Anderson and Duchovny
were best actress and actor in a drama.
