THE GIST: Playing a team of FBI agents, you try to uncover the five char-
acteristics of your opponent's X-File while you protect your own secret
affiliations.

THE SKINNY: Players who enjoy Clue and Mastermind not to mention the
TV series upon which this CCG is based, will love this conspiracy game of
detection and deduction. Top-notch production values supplemented by
flavor quotes (and coffee rings) conspire to produce one of the coolest
games on the market.

Initial first-edition sorting problems are being fixed in the second
edition. You'll have no trouble finding Mulder and Scully: fully precon-
- figured starter
decks will pro-
yide you with
one of the two stars - unlike some other TV-
and film-based CCGs - and alleviate deck-
construction hassles. It's also nice to know
that through the course of normal play, your
agents can't be killed. So no matter what
happens, Mulder and Scully will always be
back for more.
